Scania is a major Swedish automotive industry manufacturer of commercial vehicles – specifically heavy trucks and buses. It also manufactures diesel engines for heavy vehicles as well as marine and general industrial applications. The company’s head office has been in Södertälje since 1912. Today, Scania has production facilities in Sweden, France, Netherlands, India, Argentina, Brazil, Poland, and Russia. In addition, there are assembly plants in ten countries in Africa, Asia and Europe. Scania’s sales and service organisation and finance companies are worldwide. In 2012, the company employed approximately 42,100 people around the world.

Since 2015 I have consulted for Scania as an Online Strategist and Content Lead, in order to rebuild their online presence globally, as well as the 2016 launch of their Next Generation Trucks. Their biggest launch in 23 years. My role was to assist the head of Online Governance, working closely with the internal marketing department, as well as their online agency SapientRazorfish based in London, their content agency TBWA in Stockholm and their Brand Agency Volt, also in Stockholm.
